Purpose

Experian business credit reports give Acme Corporation third-party credit intelligence inside Daylit — Jobin (AR manager) orders bureau data from a customer profile instead of logging into a separate Experian portal. When to use: Order a report when a customer shows a Credit risk signal, before escalating a large balance, or when Maria (VP Finance) needs external validation before changing terms. From Customers, open a customer detail page or use the menu to Order credit report, then view and download past orders for that account on the same page. Example: Jobin (AR manager) opens Apex Solutions from the Customers table, goes to the Overview tab on the customer detail page, and clicks Order. After confirming the certification, he clicks View on the completed Experian business credit report before escalating to Maria (VP Finance). An earlier report on the same profile shows how risk has shifted since last quarter — Maria (VP Finance) reviews both when deciding next steps.

What credit reports are

An Experian business credit report is a third-party credit risk report ordered for a specific customer in your portfolio. Each order is tied to the customer record in Daylit and stored as a downloadable file you can reference during collections, credit reviews, and account planning.

Business credit report certification

Business credit reports may only be ordered for a permissible business purpose. Confirming the purpose of each live pull keeps your orders compliant with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and our data provider’s terms, and creates a record of why the report was requested. Before Daylit submits a live report order, you must check a confirmation box with this summary:
By ordering this live report, I confirm it is for my company’s internal AR, credit, account review, or collections purpose — not for testing, marketing, resale, personal, employment, tenant-screening, or competitor-research use. I will keep the report data confidential and U.S.-based.
Live report orders may be recorded as inquiries. Use an existing recent report when available. The full terms you agree to when generating a live business credit report:
You are ordering this report only for a lawful business purpose related to your organization’s credit, underwriting, account review, collection, or other approved business transaction with the subject of the report. If the report relates to an individual, sole proprietor, owner, guarantor, or other consumer identity, you have a permissible purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state law, and you have obtained any required written authorization.
You will not order or use this report for personal reasons, curiosity, marketing, lead generation, employment screening, tenant screening, resale, brokering, competitive research, model training, or any purpose not selected and certified above.
You understand that live report orders are not for testing. A report order may appear in the subject’s credit inquiry history, including pre-qualification report orders. You will not submit repeated, duplicate, or slightly altered searches for the same subject.
You will access, receive, store, process, transmit, cache, back up, and view the report and report data only within the United States. You will not place the report or report data on foreign servers or allow access from outside the United States.
You will keep the report confidential, restrict access to authorized personnel with a need to know, use reasonable security safeguards, and not email, export, download, copy, share, or disclose the report except as permitted by law and your agreement with Daylit.
Unless applicable law requires longer retention, you will delete or securely destroy report data within 90 days after receipt, and you will keep records of your permissible purpose and any required authorization.
The report is decision-support information from third-party sources. It may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be independently verified before reliance. Daylit does not make your credit decision, does not guarantee report accuracy, and any credit limit or score shown is advisory.

Order a credit report

From Customers, order an Experian business credit report from the customer detail page or directly from a table row — without opening an external bureau site.
One report per customer every 24 hours. Credit bureau data rarely changes within a day, so Daylit limits new pulls to once per customer per 24-hour period. If you order again within that window, Daylit opens the existing report — you weren’t charged for a new pull. You can order a fresh report after 24 hours.
