The Action Center is your team’s central inbox for accounts receivable work. Every time Daylit’s AI recommends an outreach action — whether that’s a collection email, a call reminder, or an internal task — it appears here for your review. Nothing sends automatically without your approval unless you have set up an auto-send collection program. You can work through actions one at a time, bulk-approve a batch, or dismiss anything that isn’t relevant.Documentation Index

What the action center shows
Each action in the inbox corresponds to a specific invoice or customer and reflects the AI’s recommended next step in the collection workflow. Actions are ranked by urgency score so the most time-sensitive items appear at the top. The three types of actions you’ll encounter are:- Email — An AI-drafted outreach email addressed to the customer’s primary contact. You can read, edit, and send it directly from the inbox.
- Call — A reminder for your team to call the customer. Completing this action logs it in the communication history.
- Manual task — A freeform internal task such as checking payment portal status or escalating an account internally.
Action statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Proposed | The AI has recommended this action and it’s waiting for your review. |
| Processing | You have approved the action and it is being sent. |
| Completed | The action has been sent or manually marked as done. |
| Cancelled | The action was rejected or dismissed before being taken. |
Inbox tabs
The Action Center organizes actions into three tabs to help you focus:- Needs action — Proposed AI-recommended actions where your team must decide what to do next.
- Awaiting customer response — Actions where the AI’s top recommendation is to wait for the customer to reply before following up.
- History — Completed and cancelled actions, giving you a full audit trail of outreach taken.
Review and send an action
Open the Action Center
Navigate to Inbox in the left sidebar. The Needs action tab is selected by default and lists all pending AI-recommended items.
Open an action
Click any row to open the action detail panel. For email actions, the panel displays the AI-drafted subject line and body, the customer name, the associated invoice or invoices, and the recommended send date.
Review and edit the draft
Read through the email body. You can edit the subject line, body text, recipient list, CC, and BCC fields directly in the panel. Daylit pre-fills recipient details from the customer’s primary contact.
Approve and send
Click Send to approve the action and deliver the email immediately through your connected email account. The action moves to History with a status of Completed. If you want to approve the action for sending later without sending it immediately, click Approve. The action moves to Processing status.
Reject or cancel an action
If you decide the AI’s recommendation isn’t appropriate for a given customer, you can reject or cancel the action without sending it.- Open the action detail panel.
- Click Reject (or the dismiss icon).
- Optionally add a reason or comment — this is stored in the approval log for your records.
- The action moves to History with a status of Cancelled.
Rejecting an action does not stop future actions from being generated. If the invoice remains unpaid, Daylit will recommend follow-up actions on its next cycle.
Mark an action as complete manually
For call reminders and manual tasks, there is nothing to send — you complete the work offline and then mark the action done in Daylit.- Open the action detail panel.
- Click Mark complete.
- The action moves to History with a status of Completed and the completion time is recorded.
Filter actions
Use the search bar at the top of the Action Center to find actions by customer name, invoice number, or action description. You can also combine this with the type filter (account-level vs. invoice-level) to narrow the list.Bulk approve and send
When you have a large backlog of similar actions — for example, a batch of first-touch reminder emails — you can approve or send multiple actions at once.- Select actions using the checkboxes on the left of each row.
- Click Approve or Send in the bulk action toolbar that appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Daylit processes each selected action in sequence.
